Does anyone know how to bring an image with transparency into After Effects???
I've tried .gif and .eps files, but AE flattens them onto a white background.
Assuming you are using Photoshop to make your images - this works: 1) Background layer - leave as is (use same colour as comp for ease of work) 2) Put your art/image on a NEW LAYER or LAYERS 3) Save as psd (Photoshop file) 4) Import into AE - import as layers - do not flatten! Discard layers you do not need. eg Background layer. Note: any blending mode you choose in PS will not be retained.
NB! Make your image in PS about the correct size eg 1280 x 720 @ 72dpi (square pixels)- do not make the file (w x h) too large.
