It's Saturday 19th March and I've spent the last few weeks completing many assignments.
1. Line by line 360 photo animation, edited in Premier Pro, with sound track.
2. David Hockney montage photo of 40 images taken on TAFE grounds.
3. Written 2 page story for Storyboard project, collected colour swatches to use, and background music.
Finding it very hard to draw the main character, i have no drawing painting skills at all.
4. Collected lots of images for the Maps project. Painted/drew required images. Also downloaded a great photo to drawing/painting small software package and converted several of the images using this. Converted some images using Illustrator -live trace, and Photoshop Effects - such as Paint Daub, etc
The converted images look really great, better than any drawing i can do!!!.
Have yet to put these images together, will do this in class next time i see David (I've not seen him for 3 weeks because of excursion and public holiday).
5. Teaching myself After Effects via a DVD tutorial, it's an excellent resource. Also try to do some inclass
AE with Janette, when my health permits. (Pain and extreme fatigue due to heavy duty pain killers, are making my study life very, very fatiguing with such a huge workload of study (having to teach myself, because pain and fatigue stop me from going to class, and work it out myself how to do each assignment, as i find that neither teacher has enough time to spend with me EACH WEEK, to help me stay on track with the rest of the class. Also the lack of ONLINE reference to 'what was discussed in class that week and handouts given' really leaves me feeling 'out of the loop. There has been no new resources in the blog since February, I've been checking several times a week hoping something new is there, to help me know where the rest of the class is up to. Perhaps 2nd term will see a big improvement in this area.
My sheer love of learning, determination, and joy of creating is my will power to not give up on this course. All my other studies, including Diploma of Graphic Design I receive D and D+. I did the course part-time and with a lot of help/flexibility with assignments. And I was able to work from home a lot of the time. Nathan Fitzgerald was my main teacher then, and his flexibility, co-operation, step by step teaching style and easy nature, made learning a joy.
6. I was teaching myself Premier Pro, but because of health and assignments overload, and me having to work alone so much, I am now way behind in Premier. Don't know when I'll get the time/energy to catch up,
Premier and After Effects are the 2 main programs I want to learn thoroughly this year.
7. I have resourced video and other tutorials as to how to video record and photograph SMOKE for my FIRE assignment. Looks farely simple. Also, wrote the 4 page FIRE PROPOSAL for the installment. However due to *** health restrictions, i can not go to site to set up an installation and also financially i can not afford more expenses for this course.
